Waiver of Liability

Each individual attending the 48th Academy Annual Meeting & Scientific Symposium assumes all risks and responsibilities associated with his or her attendance and participation in all on-site activities that occur during the Annual Meeting. By registering for this meeting, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Academy and its governing bodies, officers, and employees from all loss, damages, or liabilities arising out of or related to your attendance and participation at the 48th Academy Annual Meeting & Scientific Symposium.

Photograph/Video/Information Release

Photographs and video taken at the 48th Academy Annual Meeting & Scientific Symposium may be used in future marketing, publicity, promotions, advertising, and training activities. By registering for this meeting, you agree to allow the Academy to use the photographs and video—which may include you—in all media formats worldwide.

Confirmations

Online registrants receive an automatic confirmation. All registrants will receive a confirmation several weeks prior to the meeting. Confirmations will be sent via email to registrants who provide an email address.

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be submitted in writing. Cancellations made before December 17, 2021, are subject to a $100 administrative processing fee. After December 17, 2021, cancellation requests will be forwarded to the conference committee to determine if any refund will be granted. If a refund is approved, a minimum $100 administrative fee will be charged. Registration fees for optional functions are nonrefundable. In the event that the Academy is forced to cancel the meeting, refunds are limited to no more than the registration fees.

Should the Academy be prohibited from hosting the 2022 Annual Meeting in Atlanta, GA, due to COVID-19 related gathering limitations, attendees who registered for the in-person event will have the following options.

  • The choice of a full refund of registration fees; or
  • The option to switch to a virtual ticket. A refund of the difference in registration fees between the in-person attendee registration fee and the virtual attendee registration fee will be issued.

In-person meeting registrants will be asked to complete a form indicating their choice in writing within fourteen business days of the Academy’s announcement of the gathering restriction. After this period, those registrants that have not submitted their preference will forfeit any possibility of a refund.
